The re-emergence of the Kidney Support Network (KSN) in Queensland is continuing with the appointment of a Sunshine Coast Branch Coordinator.

Katheryn Rayner commenced as Branch Coordinator on 17 October and will have the tasks of increasing the KSN Op Shop businesses at Currimundi and Maroochydore; connecting with community networks and the corporate sector; fundraising; KSN events; and developing business partnerships on the Sunshine Coast. Kathy will work from the new KSN office at 1 Gannawarra Street Currimundi.

Kathy brings to our Sunshine Coast Branch a strong commercial and community background as well as boundless energy and retail knowledge to support our business, our Volunteers and our KSN Members.

KSN has also received wonderful news of a grant through the Community Gambling Benefit Fund and will soon have a Kidney Patient transport vehicle operating again in the region, after an absence of three years. Kathy will be looking for Volunteer drivers very soon to help us ensure kidney patients attend their life prolonging and frequent dialysis sessions at local Renal Units.

Kathy is also keen to hear from potential Volunteers for the Op Shops, who can spare a few hours to support KSN and kidney patients.

The KSN Currimundi Op Shop and Sunshine Coast Branch office now has a new phone number:

Come and meet Kathy and the Currimundi Op Shop Volunteers, on the way to Currimundi Lake.
